Waymo One is now delivering over 100,000 rides each week in San Francisco, Phoenix, and Los Angeles. The company is teaming up with Uber to expand its robotaxi service to additional locations soon. By early 2025, Waymo One will launch in Austin and Atlanta, allowing residents in those cities to ride in Waymo’s autonomous electric Jaguar I-PACE vehicles through the Uber app.

Currently, Waymo employees in Austin are already utilizing the service. The company plans to offer limited access to the public via the Waymo One app before fully transitioning to Uber early next year. Residents of Atlanta will also be able to start using the robotaxi service in early 2025, with gradual expansions planned for that city.

The Austin rollout has been anticipated for some time; Waymo initially announced its plans to expand to the Texas capital back in 2023, aiming for a launch in the fall.

Currently, Waymo One riders are taking over 100,000 trips weekly across its existing markets. Back in May, the company reported facilitating 50,000 paid trips each week.
